In strong comments after the recent hostilities between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, lyricist and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar has said that if his only two choices are between going to hell and the neighbouring country, he would choose hell. Speaking at a book launch event in Mumbai on Saturday, Javed Akhtar said he gets a lot of praise, but abuses and brickbats as well from "extremists" on "both sides" - without elaborating on what the two sides are.
