The 17th BRICS Summit will kick off on Sunday in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Apart from the host nation...Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Iran will be participating in the summit with Indonesia joining as the new member country. The theme for the 20205 summit is "Strengthening Global South Cooperation for More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance". Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Summit to exchange views on key global issues and will explore ways to deepen cooperation in areas of security, defence, trade and energy.
