We have spoken enough about government impetus or lack of it to develop large scale affordable housing in India. But has the time come when developers can take the lead to give Indian home buyers what they want. With the number of recent big ticket investments, we analyse whether the large investors are finally getting attracted towards this hitherto ignored segment of housing. We also explore the ways developers can deal with the challenges of building affordable projects.
