What’s Your Choice: Special Edition
Through this final episode of What’s Your Choice for this season we thank you very, very much for all your wonderful support, your encouraging comments and your determination to fight with us against social evils by intervening. This show has made it clear, when anyone asks an ordinary Indian – What’s Your Choice – you’ve answered categorically – step in and do something, act – do not turn away and say this is none of my business.

Watching how people reacted to injustice restored my hope in the Indian society. Thank you for this! Amazing initiative!
Glad that you are starting this programme as a responsible citizen which is rare to find these days. We Indians are only ” Family Oriented ” than being ‘ Society Oriented “. We care for our family but not the society and hence we behave in totally indifferent way to any issue as long it does not concern ‘ME”. This needs change and hopefully your programme brings some change somewhere.
We always blame the politicians and others but the fact is that we are responsible to have such politicians as we chose them and hence it is ” Yedha Praja Thadha Raja”
It is a great step in the right direction Dr. Pronnoy Roy. In today’s world Media does play a great role in highlighting such important issues which are of deep concern to the society.
Instead of focussing too much on politics , Entertainment and entertainment( which I am not saying are not irrelevant), focus should be on discussing social issues , discussed and brain stormed and finally pressurize Govt. to act with practical laws/regulations. I know policing always does not help in a free society , but creating awareness and inducing a sense of responsibility in each and every one may result in some change. We cannot expect solutions overnight, but great to know that Dr.Roy is making a nice beginning. Hope it is in prime time!! I will actively participate whenever I get an opportunity. All the best!!

The father who curses his daughter forgets that he is born of a mother(girl) and also has a wife ( girl) who without him would not have given birth to the daughter. He cannot runaway
from his responsibility. The most prudent way is for NDTV to
as part of its CSR should use their powerful media to start
mass counselling and reform the thinking of such narrow minded
people. Glad that Pranav Roy has taken this initiative.
What do I do when I see a man -victim of a hit & run- bleeding to death? Do I first take the man to the hospital to save his life or to the nearest police station to register a complaint and then take him to the hospital. Will the hospital admit him without an FIR, will they ask me uncomfortable questions, will the police harass me for being a good samaritan? What choices do I have? Will I get the much needed protection from police harassment? I believe if the average citizen gets an immunity from all sorts of harassment he will surelystick his neck out and come forward to help. The government (both Central & State) must enact laws that protect good samaritans.I think we need to raise these issues to get the governments and the authorities to act. I believe helping another human being in distress is the most sacred duty.
