New Delhi: To educate and sensitise people about road safety, the Delhi Traffic Police launched a social media campaign – ‘Road Safety Hum Sab Ki Zimmedari’ during the 29th Road Safety Week with an aim to make city’s roads safer with a bit of creative touch.

According to the latest report released by the Union road transport and highways ministry, the capital city, at 1,591, topped the list of million-plus cities that reported the highest number of road accident deaths in 2016.
A total of 7,375 accidents were recorded in 2016 – 5,088, resulted in minor injuries followed by 1,548 which were categorised as fatal and 583 which led to grievous injuries. T-junctions emerged as the most unsafe spots on the Capital’s streets with as many as 1,008 accidents.
