Green Challenger: Meet the Travel Photographer, Kanika Sood

Kanika Sood (Age – 26)

Hailing from the beautiful, mesmerizing summer capital of British India, Shimla. Kanika Sood is a young social Entrepreneur who is native of Himalayas. She is passionate towards making our environment better and greener.

She is an avid traveller, driver, biker and trekker. She has a passion for thinking outside (no box required). She has an unending appetite for adventure and taking on new challenges hence she conceptualized and started NIEV (Needful Initiatives for Environment Ventures) in 2010 with the purview to promote and preserve Social, Cultural and Environment Sustainability. She has won many National and International Awards/ Recognition for her work with NIEV and she actively conducts many workshops as a speaker and also gave a TEDx Talk in 2013.

Her dare dreaming habit makes her who she is today. After many years of active travelling and research she now sees herself ready to add on a new chapter in the book of her life through Godrej Green Champion.
