Hupi Maji
Age: 16
Hupi Maji came to the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences when she was 11 years old. She could only speak in her tribal dialect when she had arrived. Today, five years on, she is comfortable speaking in English and Hindi. She misses her parents, but believes that she must make use of the opportunities being presented to her by the institute. She has opted to spend lesser time back home during her upcoming vacation in order to attend the sports camp being conducted in the campus. She wants to become a rugby player and attain national recognition.
