“This fellowship with Teach for India gave me an opportunity to understand the system of education from the ground up. I get to play a key part in the lives of the children I teach, and work with some of the brightest people. This one time, a girl I taught told me that she had started liking Maths. When I asked her why, she said bhaiya, aap jitne interest se Maths padate ho, usme bada maza aata hai (Maths becomes fun because of the way you teach). It’s challenging, and there are times when I wonder if I made the right choice. But, moments like these make it worth it. The unconditional love the kids shower on me and the feeling of being in a classroom is more than enough to keep me going.”

– As told to Tania Goklany. He is a teacher with Teach for India.
