Canna Patel is an Architect and Interior Designer with over 26 years of professional experience. Having completed her Bachelors in Architecture at CEPT, Ahmedabad she did her Masters at University of California Berkeley, US. She is the Chairperson HCP Interior Architecture Pvt. Ltd. (HCPIA), widely regarded as a reputable and professionally managed firm. Her nationwide reputation and renowned signature style of designed interiors, seamlessly blends the Architectural forms and spaces. Focus on detailing and integration of art in her interiors and architecture are trademarks of her work. Her Indian upbringing and exposure to cultural diversity and rich heritage has significant influence on her creativity. Further education and work experience in the US, and extensive travel has also influenced much of her work. The combination in many ways synthesizes a fine sensitivity to Indian climate, social norms, cultural values and aspirations reflecting contemporary India. Canna has been a recipient of several awards in recognition of her work and dedication to the profession, which includes Women Achievers Awards from JSAF in 2013, awarded from Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2009, IIID MK Award in 2007, Udgam Achiever Award in 2007, Interiors Editor’s Choice Awards in 2007, Gold Medal for Undergraduate thesis in 1986 and merit scholarship in 1980 from the school of Architecture, Ahmedabad. She has been a Jury member on various prestigious Awards for designers. She is a Founder Member and Past Chairperson of IIID, Ahmedabad chapter. She takes an active interest in training and education of designers and contributes by way of delivering lectures. Over the years she has carried out more than 300 projects for clients all over India. Her works are being regularly published in various Indian and International publications.
Dr. Prem C Jain, Chairman AECOM India has a brilliant academic background in engineering culminating into Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA with perfect score of 4.0. He is the first practicing engineer in India to have been nominated in 1995, Fellow of the ASHRAE USA in its history of a hundred years. He is the founder President of ASHRAE-INDIA Chapter. In 2005, he was bestowed with ASHRAE’s highest honour “DISTINGUISHED FELLOW” award. He is also the Founder and President Emeritus of ISHRAE. He was honoured by ISHRAE & ASHRAE India with Life Time Achievement Award in 2007. ISHRAE today has more than 50 Chapters and more than 10000 members across India. His Alma Mater Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in India conferred IT BHU Alumni Excellence Award upon him in 2008, and University of Minnesota has conferred their highest award, “Distinguished Leadership for Internationals” in 2011. He is Fellow of a large number of International Societies. He has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the World and in Marquis Who’s Who in Science & Engineering from 1997onwards, and in Baron’s “The Asia 500 Leaders For The New Century” published in the USA in 2000. He is the Convener for the HVAC section for “National Building Code of India 2005”. He has been nominated by BIS to Chair the new panel for “Approach to Sustainability, CED P19”, Addendum to the National Building Code of India. He is Visiting Faculty at School of Planning & Architecture, Delhi University for more than 40 years and was given best Faculty Award in 1998. He Founded Legacy “Spectral Services Consultants Pvt. Ltd” in 1980, which in 2011 merged with AECOM. AECOM has been rated by Engineering News Record (ENR) in 2010-11-12 -13 World’s number one pure design consultancy firm. AECOM is India’s Leading Consultancy Organization, pioneering in design of Green Buildings Engineering Services Systems and has the distinct honour of having designed Services system for Thirty Four LEED Platinum Rated Green Buildings. He is Chairman of Indian Green Building Council . He is also the Chairman for CII-IGBC’s annual International Green Building Congress from 2007 onwards. He is driving the Green Building Movement in India with great passion to restore the health of our ailing Mother Earth.
Karan Grover has been passionately advocating the need to look at ones culture and heritage for clues as to the direction for a contemporary architecture and sustainable development relevant to the Indian context today. He has enthused children in conservation and been nominated a “social entrepreneur” as a Fellow of the Ashoka Foundation, Washington. He almost single handedly won India’s nominations for UNESCO’s World Heritage Site status for Champaner after a 22-year old campaign. In 2004, Grover became the first architect in the world to win the USGBC “Platinum” Award for the greenest building in the world. He was made the Permanent Honorary Fellow of the National Academy of Environment at the hands of former President Dr. Abdul Kalam in Delhi. He spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative, New York at the personal invite of President Clinton in 2006. Karan has been selected as the winner of the Green Globe Award for Architect, Infrastructure Category from Green Globe Foundation. The “CII–Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre” – the first LEED US Platinum Building in India has been selected as the 2009 winner of the “Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Awards”, under the NGO Category. In 2009 he was given the Keys of the City of Birmingham by the Mayor of Birmingham at the Inaugural Address of the International Green Congress. The World Economic Forum at Davos has named him as a member on the Panel for Sustainability for 2009. In the same year he has been honored with three more awards – the ACE Award 2009, the Nirman Navratna Award 2009; and CNBC AWAZ Award 2009 and was nominated as one of India’s top 10 architects consecutively for the 5th year by the Construction World. He has been differently labelled on several occasions – a “Man of Taste” in the Economics Times, a “Hot Architect” in India by Construction World; a “Charismatic Crusader” by the Verve magazine; one of the “500 Visionaries of the 21st Century” along with the Dalai Lama and Bill Clinton and complimented for his sense of fashion by being selected as one of “India’s 50 Most Stylish Men” by Man’s World.
Pramiti Madhavji, Editor-in-Chief, ELLE Decor India started her career in the field of client servicing in advertising. Pramiti moved streams to explore her passion for graphic design. After a few years of running her own business, she took up the opportunity of moving into publication design and joined Ogaan Publications in 1998 to take charge as Art Director as well as Decor Editor for the fashion magazine ELLE India. Combining her art direction skills with her second passion “home decor”, she became the Founding Editor of the Indian edition of ELLE DECOR in the Winter of 2000. Now 13 years with the magazine, she has helped grow the decoration market and is looking for new challenges to retain the number one position of the brand. She is also the Founding Member of Ogaans new initiative – India Design ID, an annual design week launched in February 2013.

Paul Flowers, born in London 1972; graduated from The University of Northumbria (Newcastle) with a first class honors degree. During his diverse international career he has worked from small prestigious London design studios to some of the largest organizations in the world, including FM (UK), IBM (UK), Electrolux (Italy), Philips (Netherlands). In November 2005 he was appointed Vice President of Design for Grohe (Germany). During his productive career he has accumulated a plethora of prestigious international design awards including ID Magazine 1999 and 2000, Good Industrial Design Award 2001 followed by various red dot product awards from 2005 to 2013 including four “best of the best” in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and red dot communication awards in 2011 and 2014, numerous iF product awards from 2005 to 2013, iF China 2006, 2007 and 2010, iF communication award 2008, 2009 and 2012, iF Material award 2011, Good Design 2006, 2008 and 2010 to 2013 and Green Good Design 2010 to 2013, Perspective Award Hong Kong 2011 and 2013 awarded with the Trophy, Good Design Japan 2006 and from 2010 to 2013, Prix du Design 2008, Janus Award France 2008, Manufacturer Award 2008, Grand Design award UK 2009, IDEA Bronze in 2010, D&AD 2007 and 2010, the I.D. Annual Design Award 2010, Interior Innovation award 2011, the Design plus in 2005, 2007 and 2011, Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Magazine 2008 and 2012 Gold Award, European Consumers Choise in 2010 and 2011 and in 2011 the highest accolade of the red dot design award, the “Design Team of the Year 2011/2012”. In 2008 Paul Flowers was included on the prestigious ‘40 under 40’ list established by the European Centre of Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, it recognizes the top 40 European creative talents under the age of 40. His portfolio includes TVs for Philips, e.g. Plasma TV, Design Line TV; cooking devices for Electrolux, e.g. Concept Plan, Concept Stack; refrigerators for Electrolux: Range and Lighthouse, GROHE Ondus, digital bathroom, Rain-showers, Workflow furniture. In his current position as Global Senior Vice President of Design Paul Flowers provides creative strategic direction for the GROHE brand worldwide.
Manisha Natarajan, is Senior VP and Head, real estate programming and Corporate Communications at NDTV and currently hosts the daily prime time real estate programme: The Property Show. Manisha learnt the ropes of television journalism as a reporter for BBC World’s ‘Moneywise’ and ‘India Business Report’. She has anchored over 1000 hours of live business news, including key events such as the Union Budget, Economic Survey, Credit Policy and Tax Roundtables and a popular personal wealth call-in show ‘Let’s Talk Money’. She’s also been an in between columnist with Indian Express, (Stock Talk) and Mint (Money Matters)

Ar. Krishnarao Jaisim has enjoyed the practice of architecture for over four decades now. His early years in the field were inspired by greats such as Buckminster Fuller, Koenigsberger and Geoffrey Bawa. And in the sixties, Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead gave his aspirations a whole new meaning. He started Jaisim Fountainhead in 1970. Since then he has created and recreated innumerable homes, institutions and commercial enterprises. He has written over 150 papers and articles, made about 1500 presentations, serves on several boards and councils, and finds time to interact with students of architecture all over India. His iconoclastic views and individualistic endeavours are the hallmarks of his creativity. Today, he still continues to pursue the adventures of the built environment, searching and researching beyond the boundaries of time and space. Over a span of four decades his firm has undertaken and executed scores of projects in almost every aspect of the building industry. Building on a philosophy that is committed to the earth and dedicated to the client, every creation is iconoclastic, individualistic and eco-friendly.
Ar. Tanuja has over 33 years of work experience in the field of architecture. During her association with the reputed firms, she was involved in developing, designing & co-ordinating a number of prestigious projects. As a partner at Kanvinde Rai & Chowdhury, she has contributed to the growth & the continuation of the firm significantly. The underlying theme of the projects designed by the firm is towards creating a sustainable built environment with the Centre for Environmental Sciences & Engineering at IIT Kanpur being awarded a 5 star TERI-GRIHA rating.
She has been involved in design & execution of a number of Institution complexes – most noted of which are:

Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy – A graduate of Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai. Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy began his career at Bangalore. Two years later he moved overseas to work on town planning projects in Tehran, IRAN. Returning to his hometown, Hyderabad Ar. Ramamurthy commenced private practice in 1978.
For over 35 years as principal architect of Studio One, Hyderabad Ar. Ramamurthy has designed buildings across various typologies ranging from high end private residences to humble affordable housing using sustainable technology. His firm specializes in hospitality design. Their projects are extensively showcased in Indian design journals.
As a founder member of the Hyderabad Chapter of Indian Institute of Interior Design, he assumed chairmanship from 2006-2008. During his tenure, the institute conducted technical seminars, interactive student programmes and fellowship events. Conducting heritage walks of architectural monuments in Hyderabad and making technical presentations are other ways in which he contributes to Hyderabad’s design fraternity.
In addition to guiding the practices through its growth, he has used his creative energies in several allied design activities. As a founder member of Crafts Council of Andhra Pradesh, he has interacted with craftsmen and created fresh designs using their traditional skills to make contemporary interior components. He is convener of publications committee for the Council of Architecture. Over the years, he has written on architectural and interior issues. His quest for knowledge as a holistic designer has led to a deepening interest in textiles, handicrafts, fine arts and decorative arts. He is currently researching early Indian Furniture.
Ar. Yeshwant received the I.I.I.D., Life Time Achievement Award 2012, and is recently nominated onto the Board of Academic Studies in Architecture, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts Univ. Hyderabad, where he is thesis Juror.
He is a fellow of Institute of Indian Interior Designers and member of National Executive Committee.
