“My son Siddanth, a class XII student of St. Joseph’s College, was riding his cycle one evening around OMBR Layout when he saw a speeding car hit a cat. The cat got thrown to the other side of the road. Siddanth, who was right behind the car saw the driver speed away knowing very well that he had just hit someone badly. He did not even bother to stop. On seeing this, Siddanth immediately pulled up to the side of the road where the cat lay to examine how badly the cat was injured. When he got close, he saw that the cat bleeding from the nose and mouth. He put the cat’s head on his palm and tried to comfort it as he knew he could do nothing as the cat was dying. He tried to make the cat drink water to help revive but the cat died in his hands. Siddanth could not believe that someone could drive so recklessly killing an innocent animal who was just crossing the road. He cried non-stop because he could not save the poor animal. He also mentioned to me that if the driver would’ve stepped out of the car to help, the cat could’ve been saved. However, I am not sure how and what action can be taken to stop such reckless driving. There are many times where I have seen Siddanth helping people who meet with accidents, either by taking them to the nearby hospital or helping with first aid. He also stands up for what is wrong and has put up videos on Facebook informing the police of such wrong doings.”

“I had once witnessed a driver’s heroic reflex that saved a four-year-old child from death on an extremely busy road. He pulled over his car to the side of the road and plunged into the traffic to save the child from oncoming traffic in the nick of time. Shortly afterwards, policemen approached the driver and took over the responsibility of the child.”
