Here's a glimpse into the plight and lives of two people who battled end-stage organ failure, waited for a transplant with hope that diminished each passing day. The demand for organs far exceeds supply. In India, only 0.5 persons per million of population donate organs. Most of the names on waiting lists of organs never receive it.
