kokila

Kokila Bhattacharya (Age – 20)

She dropped out from National Institute of Design (was pursuing Animation and Film Design), instead did a distance Bachelor in Social work from IGNOU. She is a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer. She has worked with many NGOs for environmental awareness and protection, climate change, victims for Bhopal Gas. Written at school levels and attended some local programs on natural resources.

She thinks she hasn’t done much at all, but that doesn’t question the kind of motivation she has towards the cause. She recently undertook a course on Four Dimensions of climate change online and the amusement doesn’t seem to end. She thinks it’s time to gear up for a sustainable model. In that perspective, after gathering enough information about the complications, forest dwellers and tribal folks need to be given a platform to address their rights about the land they own over centuries and the practices that need to be undertaken in conservation of forest resources and symbiotic relationships where doyens of such profound knowledge can be the guardians of our diminishing forest covers.
