Take the Pledge: Say No to Crackers This Diwali

Help fight pollution to Breathe Clean. Take the pledge for a cracker-free Diwali.

Here’s why this pledge is important: The Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (RSPM), which directly affects breathing, was at 531 mg per cubic metre, the day after Diwali 2014. This was more than 5 times higher than the normal level. Delhi recorded the highest levels of pollution post-Diwali in 2014 followed by Kolkata and Chennai.

Air pollution increases the risk of respiratory and heart disease in the population, with more severe impacts on children and the elderly. So, join the fight against pollution.
