1. What is #BehtarIndia?

#BehtarIndia is an innovative community campaign initiated by NDTV and DHFL Pramerica. It intends to involve all segments of society to work towards a better India, focussing on three main areas – Health, Hygiene and Environment.

2. Who can participate? 

Behtar India has been created as a holistic 360 degree campaign. It targets citizens, school children and corporates to drive awareness and tangible progressive actions towards building a better India.

3. What does the campaign entail?

The campaign consists of three stages which have to be completed in a specified time-frame:

a. Behtar Swasthya – Initiate a dengue awareness cum collection drive to protect underprivileged children from Dengue and provide them treatment cover.

b. Behtar Swachhata – Take up cleanup drive of one public area. Participate now

c. Behtar Vatavaran – Undertake a project to plant 300 saplings. Participate now

4. What is the correct order of the three tasks?

The three tasks of the campaign are in the following order:

Stage 1: Behtar Swasthya
Stage 2: Behtar Swachhta
Stage 3: Behtar Vatavaran

5. Is this a contest or community service?

For schools and school students – it is a community service based contest, where completion of task in each of the stages determines their position on the leaderboard.

For companies – it is a tool for employee engagement and opportunity for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

For citizens – it is a social initiative where they can make a difference.

6. How can I register for this campaign?

For registration you have to go to the Home page and click on the register option. Pick your  school, its students corporates, individual etc. from the drop down box and fill in the desired details.

7. Is there any helpline number to know more about the campaign?

Schools

1. How do I register my school for this competition?

For registration you have to go to the Home page and click on the register option. Select category – School from the drop down box and fill in the desired details using the official Email Id of the school

2. How many students can participate in the campaign from a school?

There is no limit; more the merrier.

3. Is there any age limit?

There is no age limit; however it is advised that schools encourage maximum participation of students above 10 yrs age.

4. Which schools can register?

Any registered school based out of any state or union territory of India.

5. Who will be responsible from the school to coordinate for these activities?

The activity teacher of the school or whosoever principal decides to lead the activity will be in charge and responsible to carry out all the tasks. He/she will be the point of contact and will be responsible for coordination between the students and #BehtarIndia Team.

6. Who will carry out the tasks?

School students will complete all the tasks under the supervision of their respective school coordinator. The school may form a core group of students to lead the campaign from the student’s end.

7. How does one identify their school branch in the drop down box?

The drop down box in the ‘Student’ form will show the names and locality of the schools exactly as filled by their team during the registration process. Thus, to ensure simplicity in finding the correct branch of a specific school, full name of the school, along with branch needs to be filled in the form.

For example: If a school’s name is Mumbai High School, Bandra, it has to be filled in like so and not Mumbai High School.

8. How do teachers / management / school trustees etc. contribute to add up to the tally of their school’s total points?

Teachers/management/school-trustees/school-administration can help in making their school be among the Top 10 on the leaderboard by contributing funds. In order to achieve this, the respective person must register under the ‘Student’ category. It is mandatory for the registering user to use their official (school) email address during the registration process.

For example: Registering user should register with ‘teachername@schoolname.edu’

Note: All such non-student collections have to go via ‘Student’ registration process. No individual prize will be given to such registrations (i.e., respective user shall not be part of the Top 10 Student Leaderboard). Points gained via this collection activity will be unabatedly directed to the school’s total collection.

Corporates

1. How do I register my company?

For registration you have to go to the Home page and click on the register option. Select category – Corporate from the drop down box and fill in the desired details.

2. How many employees can participate?

There is no limit; more the merrier…

3. Which companies can register?

Any organization based out of any state or union territory of India

4. Who will be responsible from the company to coordinate for these activities?

CSR Head or Administration head will be responsible to lead the group activities and will ensure employee engagement in the tasks. He/ she will be the point of contact and will be responsible for coordination between employees of the company and Behtar India team

5. Who will carry out the tasks?

Employees who volunteer to participate will complete tasks under the supervision of Administration Head or CSR Head.

Individuals

1. How do I register?

For registration you have to go to the Home page and click on the register option. Select category – Individual from the drop down box and fill in the desired details.

2. Can I take part in the contest?

Individuals cannot take part in the contest, for them it will be a social activity only.

3. Can I do these tasks in group?

Yes, individuals can form a group and do the tasks as a group activity.
